Multiple Exposure Zooms

Been hankering to get the camera back in hand lately… been too long since I felt the D3′s heft in my hand, and my finger on the shutter. Came across Ed Knepley’s blog this am and was reading and admiring some of his multiple exposure zoom photography.

You can imagine what happened next… :)

It’s snowing here on Long Island today. Thought I’d give this “multiple exposure” thing a shot and see how it works. In the camera menu I set the machine to “multiple exposures”- set the number of exposures to 10 and let it fly. Once you set this the camera will merge all ten frames within its brain, and present a final image on the viewfinder. Lots of opportunity to be creative here.

Heading outside to the backyard, just wandered about looking for some objects which might peak my interest to attempt this multiple exposuring “thing”… The trees with snow, a still green bush snow covered top, water drops on the edge of some white pines… As usual, once you let your mind wander a bit, the creative button gets pressed. And since you don’t really know what’s going to happen, you just gotta try.
